CRETIN-DERHAM HALL
Catholic | Coed | Grades 9-12 | College Prep/Comprehensive (courses for many learning levels)

         
2008-2009 Tuition:  $9,300 - There are not additional fees.  The tuition includes registration, books, and activities.  Students taking studio arts and advanced computer class have a $25-$30 materials fee.

Financial Aid:  Grants are available through the Archdiocese and Cretin-Derham Hall.  Students may also apply for the work program when they register.  Over $1,500,000 was awarded to almost half of our students this year.  Applications for tuition aid are due March 1, 2009.  Financial aid forms are available at the school after December 1, 2008.

Transportation:  Students in St. Paul  who live more than a mile from school receive a bus card from the MTC to ride the bus for free.  Other school districts reimburse families for a portion of their transportation cost.  Car pool information is also available.

Uniform:
  Boys wear gray dockers, white oxford cloth uniform shirt or uniform polo shirt, black sweater, dark dress shoes.  Girls wear black jumper or black slacks, white oxford cloth uniform blouse or uniform polo shirt, black sweater, dark dress shoes.  Military students wear the military uniform provided by the government one day a week.

Facilities:  The campus is located in a residential area of St. Paul.  There are five buildings including: state of the art photography and studio arts rooms; new and expanded band and choral facilities; media production studio; a theater and black box theater; modern science/lab classrooms; upgraded fields and tennis courts; Chapel; Career Center; 2 gymnasiums; modern fitness room; 4 computer labs and 9 mobile labs. The campus is handicap accessible.

Curriculum: 
Cretin-Derham Hall offers over 180 courses ranging from honors, advanced, college prep, to basic classes; students are enrolled in courses that challenge their ability without overwhelming them.  There is a strong college prep program that includes honors and Advanced Placement classes and courses that can be taken for credit through St. Mary’s University, as well as the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options classes.  For students needing more academic support there is a learning lab in which certified teachers give additional help.  JROTC is an elective open to all students.  Emphasis is given to fine arts.

 Graduation Requirements:  75 trimester hours are required including:
