23rd December 2017

The Blue Pullman is now released.

This release now has seven power steps on the controller not five.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

17th December 2017

Yes I have been working on a Blue Pullman.

But it's the 2006 version!

Coming soon!

3rd December 2017

Well nearly two months since my last post and you might think that's me working on the Class 168, well no I've been working on a Blue Pullman.

That will be released before Xmas.

7th October 2017

Well, I am getting really bad at update posts.

All you regulars must be getting a bit bored with I've just did this again?

Also in 2015 I went in to overdrive making these things as a long term problem meant I could not go to work, so I released quite a bit!

Now I can't thanks to work commitments, today I spent about 10 hours on the 168/1 external most weeks that's about all I can do at the moment.

But its getting there!

A bit more work on the front end, I have also made the bogies a bit darker to match the underframe a bit better and finally added the cab roof.

I've also added the roof details.

I've also put a simple black blob interior in the leading car, so you can see through the tinted windows.

That might get binned as I don't think it will work in a night route....

But I don't plan a interior like you can find in my Class 143's!

I've also configured a front end skirt found on 168/2's and later 170's.

So I can work out were the deflector or snowplough goes in front of the bogies.

Work on the engine area and the exhaust is on hold, it needs me to actually get off my arse and pop down to Cardiff Central to look at a 170!

On another note, it's nice to see someone set up a site in Germany that advertises other peoples Bve sites.

https://sites.google.com/view/openbve-de/

Copy and paste the link, Google Sites will not let me post it as one!

Next I will find out that the few quid I pay for this site per month, has had the decimal point moved and they want payment of hundreds!

19th August 2017

Sorry I forgot to post a how it's coming along post last week.

Most of the left hand side is finished, although I am still working on the sand box's.

In the shot below that's what the red bit's are to do with, or the pipework for the sanders.

I've also started darkening the bogie textures to be a better match to the under frame ones.

There's also been a bit of work on the other side of the under frame, although the engine/exhaust area is just a single texture at the moment.

I've also added a few more bits, although the floating Catalytic Converter needs some brackets to mount it and bit's of exhaust coming out of it.

6th August 2017

Under frame work continues.

First a bit more on the left hand side.

I've also done a bit on the right hand side.

31st July 2017

Some more work on the left hand side of the under frame.

28th July 2017

I've now started on both the door steps and the under frame details.

22nd July 2017

The bogies are now finished bar possibly making the textures a bit darker.

Outer bogie with 3rd rail shoe beam to mount the LUL Trip Cock.

Inner powered bogie.

Inner non powered bogie.

15th July 2017

A bit more work on the cab.

There's also a bit of a view of the work in progress on the bogies.

So here's a more side shot of it.

It also shows the LUL trip beam that's another WIP.

Here's a shot of the centre car and the leading car of this 3 car unit, I am modeling it as it was in 2014 and the trip beam actually belongs on the missing trailing car.

13th July 2017

I've done a bit more work on the bogies, although it's currently just the one under the leading cab and went back to adding some more body detail.

10th July 2017

Bogie work continues.

Sorry development seems a bit slower these days, but a change in my employment means I've slowed down a bit.

1st June 2017

Yet more work on the front end.

It now sticks out a bit more than it did.

I've also started work on the bogies.

11th June 2017

Today more work on the front end.

I've also angled the screenshot so it looks like I've configured the cab roof on the left hand side as you look at it.

But no, but it does make it look a bit better. lol.

10th June 2017

Some more work.

I've darkened everything body and roof related slightly as I want to add a bit of corner texturing to the cab.

The cab front and the cab corners were pure white, so no room to lighten the corners of it.

There is one texture sort of showing the effect, or put it another way I've got the coding of that one wrong!

Although it was not until I added something elsewhere!

It's not in the 7th June screenshot!

7th June 2017

So what's next from me?

Well I've gone back to something I started five years ago!

Or a Class 168 external.

It looked like this in 2012. Cl168 WIP

I've now done a bit more work, the cab front looks a bit wrong at the moment but it is a Work In Progress...

3rd June 2017

Just released a Class 60 DBS-Pathfinder 'Top and Tail' Railtour.

It's something I omitted to make last time I did some new Class 60's.

1st May 2017

I've now released the route, I've called it Network West Midlands! Network West Midlands 2017 (Work In Progress)

30th April 2017

I've now made a few more versions of the Class 90 route object.

First EWS.

There's 12 there, it's actually three different numbered loco's and four different head and tail/no tail light versions of.

Freightliner green.

Freightliner triple grey.

And finally Virgin.

STOP PRESS

I am also shortly going to release a route.

A route that's even more impressive than the current released version of Network West Midlands!

2nd April 2017

I've now finished the Class 90 route object.

Sort of as I plan to make quite a few different livery versions!

I should point out that although I configure route objects to use in Network West Midlands, that all the route objects I've made are available to anyone that wants to use them.

Although they will need you to reconfigure them if your route does not have the same configuration that NWM has.

Just ask and if you can remember what they are your doing better than me!

I need to have a look.....

All you have to do is to keep the file headers in place, as one of contributors might get upset if they don't get a plug and there's got to be a trouble making reason only to remove them.

Back to the Class 90, if I can ever make a cabview/train the object will turn in to a more detailed more Hi Res external release.

It's the only WCML AC electric class bar 87101 'Stephenson' that can currently be configured for Open Bve.

18th March 2017

A bit more work on the Class 90 object.

Mainly getting the cab front to look more correct.

14th March 2017

So what have I been doing in the nearly month that has passed since my last post?

Well making another route object, that I've been making with it in mind that later a more detailed external could happen if I can make a cab view/train for it!

First off is AC electric Class 90 90036 in it's EWS ex Railfreight Distribution livery.

Note it's still a Work.In.Progress.

I plan to make it in a few other livery's these loco's have been in that are Network West Midlands related.

Shown here with the Class 87 Virgin route object.

19th February 2017

Released today.

GBRf 66731 'interhubGB' hauling 66779 'Evening Star', 59003 'Yeoman Highlander' and 66715 'Valour' in a light engine move.

16th February 2017

Here's the screenshots that I could not post yesterday.

This one is of 66715 'Valour' 'Top and Tailing' with 66779 'Evening Star' on the GBRf 15 railtour.

Then you have 59003 'Yeoman Highlander' hauling the Liverpool Lime St to Doncaster on it's own.

15th February 2017

59003 is now released with the GBRf 15 Railtour set behind it on the Liverpool Lime Street to Doncaster portion of the tour and I've also released a 66715 leading version which was the last part of the Tour from Paddington to Reading again in the dark!

I would put up some screenshots but Google sites say no at the moment...........

14th February 2017

More work today, sorting out the cab front and the buffer beam and then starting to add the body side ribs to the GBRf lettering and the body side numbers.

This loco has a couple of detail differences to the rest of the 59/0 sub class, one is whilst in Europe it was fitted with continental buffers.

The other is no mountings for the NRN radio or the radio appearing anywhere on the roof, which in the case of a 59/0 is the same sort of mounting found on many DMU's.

Later 59's and 66's have recesses in the roof for it.

13th February 2017

Keeping with the 'GBRf 15' theme I've been making this one for the last week.

Or another version of the Railtour with 59003 'Yeoman Highlander' hauling it.

This time in day light with the real thing!

I've already reconfigured the train or reversed it so the ex-Anglia coach is behind 59003, here's a YouTube video of it. 59003 Liverpool Lime St

5th February 2017

The 'GBRf 15' is now released along with light engine versions of 66779 'Evening Star' and 66715 'Valour' in the latest GBRf livery.

This release is a bit of a departure for me as 66779 does not have the correct cab.

The last USA built batch have a UK version of the Euro cab.

Also in real life 66779 only hauled the 'GBRf 15' Railtour between Wembley and Paddington in the dark so what's it doing out in daylight in the West Midlands!

10th January 2017

Since the last post I've now finished 66779.

So I need a train for it to pull and last September's 'GBRf 15' Railtour seems to be the only one the prototype has been on so far.

That's a Mk1 and Mk2 coach mix in three livery's.

Now I've researched that train the only pulling 66779 did on that tour was empty stock moves, so that's what it will be released as with 66715 'Valour' on the back.

This will take a while as I need to alter the coaches.

But if anyone's keen to have the finished light engine version, send me large amounts of money.......
