Dear Brookfield Families,

I just wanted to thank all the parents who donated items and their time for our "Halloween Celebration."  Your generosity is greatly appreciated!  It was soo much fun to see all the children dressed up in their costumes and what a great time we all had!  Now with the new month upon us, we will begin learning all about the very "first" Thanksgiving!  Also, in science, we will begin making "Body Part" booklets, in which the children will learn the simple names of head, arms, etc..  Just a reminder, that the children do not have school, on Friday, November 6th.  The teachers have an  "In-Service" day!  Also, if you did not sign-up for a conference, you need to do so as soon as possible. Conferences will be held the week of November 16th-20th!  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me any time!  Have a safe and enjoyable week!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Barr

Dear Brookfield Families,

A note will be going home today in regards to an "In-House Fieldtrip," The "Painted Pot" will be coming to our school, so that your child can do some contempory paint-it-yourself pottery to take home as a keepsake!  The fee will be $10.00 and it is due by this Thursday, November 12th.  You may pay with cash or with a check made payable to 'The Painted Pot."  The projects will then need to be fired at their studio and then they will go home just before our "Winter Break."  The children will be doing this fun project, this Friday, November 13th in the morning.  If you are an afternoon child, you may come at 9:00 A.M. for this special "In-House Fieldtrip" and stay all day with us.  Please bring a lunch and dress appropriately for outdoor recess. If you can not make it in the morning, please let me know and we will work something out with a class who is doing it in the afternoon on Tuesday, November 17th. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!  It should be a lot of fun!  Again, if you have any questios or concerns, please contact me at any time!  Have a safe and enjoyable week!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Barr

Dear Brookfield Families,

Just a reminder that we will be having our "Thanksgiving Celebration" on Wednesday, November 25th.  Your child does not need to wear their uniform on this day.  We will be making our own butter for our muffins.  Also, your child got to choose whether they would like to be an "Native American" or a "Pilgrim" for the day and so we are helping the children make hats to wear for this special celebration. We are also learning what we are thankful for, since that is truly what "Thanksgiving" is all about. It should be a great learning experience for us all. Please have a safe and enjoyable "Thanksgiving!"

Sincerely,

Mrs. Barr
