2008 Eddie DelGuidice Memorial Blastoff TournamentEveryone,
Recently, Eddie
DelGuidice passed away. Most of you didn't know Eddie. Those of us who did were
the lucky ones. He was a big part of the early success of our program. Eddie was
a manager, coach, mentor, parent and friend. Eddie had been sick for many years
and couldn't be as big a part of the program as he, or the rest of us
wished.
At the time of his
passing, I expressed our organization's condolences to Eddie's family. I told
his wife, Maureen, how much he was appreciated when he was here, and how much he
will me missed now that he isn't.
To honor
Eddie, we are renaming our spring
tournament to the "2008 Eddie DelGuidice Memorial Blastoff Tournament." I'm still
working on the details, but we will honor Eddie, his wife and family with a
ceremony at the tournament.
