The Mary Thompson Fund

 • The Fund was established in memory of Mary who died early 2001 in her eighties. She and Father Anthony Storey founded the Justice & Peace Commission. Mary had supported many issues & campaigns around world poverty & refugee rights, & actively supported refugees living in the Tees Valley.

 • The Fund (via its four trustees – including Mary’s sister Trudie) provides valuable additional support to refugees and people seeking asylum living in our community – most of them are forced to exist on 70% of Income Support levels. Some people depend entirely on money and food provided by the Fund.

Every penny donated to the fund is paid directly to refugees and people seeking asylum who are in hardship.
