NOOOOO!! Today is the last day wah wah! I am required to write a eval/review. The things that worked:the actual trip part! The maker faire! my sweatshirt! Things that didnt work: a lot of people just played with phun and didn't really come up with a finished project. MY SWEATSHIRT DIDN"T GET TO SAN FRANCISCO!!! boo hoo. what are my wishes: i wish that next year every one will have something to show at the end. my favorite parts were the actual maker faire, meeting with joe grand, the exploritorium, and the baseball game. thats pretty much all. GOOD BYE!!!!!!

Hi my name is ella and I was in the digital arts class at billings for 2009. We went to San Francisco for the Maker Faire. The first day we took six modes of travel including virgin america and first we went to noise bridge hackerspace. then we moseyed our way to jac's brother's apartment and had dinner and played Guitar hero world tour. The second day we went to the exploritorium and met with joe grand for lunch. at 500 we went to At&T park and got a tour of the scoreboard booth. the next day we went to the MAKER FAIRE in san mateo. it was amazing! we wrote bms on a jeep covered in legoes, we tinkered, we saw the twittering office chair,a robotic hand that responded to a real hand we saw bigger than life R2D2 and then it was over.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we are back from San Francisco and it was SOOOO FUN! The maker faire was definitely the best part of the trip. Seeing the announcers booth at the stadium was very cool. IF you haven't seen the blog http://www.billingsmiddleschool.org/beta/

Tomorrow I am going to San Francisco!!!! I am really excited. We are going until Sunday and we are going to the Giants v. Cardinals game. THEN WE ARE GOING TO THE MAKER FAIRE ON SATURDAY! Yay.

yay i added to my sweatshirt and jac helped me fix some problems about the connector wires. right now 6 wires are on and one of them is broken! we need to solder 3 wires back on. it is very small and very hard. i will bring the sweatshirt home so that i can work a little more!

Today I worked on my blinky bug http://blinkybug.com/docs/BlinkybugInstructionsVersion2.pdf and I finished it. It required a little bit of precision when I had to put the music wire inside of the tiny loop. But I succeeded finally and my blinky bug works! I also added the gloves to my sweatshirt and I put the discs on the gloves and it works! yay!

This week I worked on the sweatshirt. One of the wires broke off last week, so we have to solder it back on. Tape won't work because it is tiny. I also looked up stuff to do on Friday and we might go to the Giants and Cardinals game at AT&T park! we made throwies with LEDs batteries and magnets that could wipe hard drives!
