On November 5th, 2009 at 6:00p.m. the PTO will be hosting a special guest, Dr. Freddy Kaye, a leading Nutritionist here in Tallahassee. It is our hope, as parents and teachers, to provide everyone with information and resources that can help us all provide the best environment for our children. Nutrition is such an important aspect of a child's well being that we want to see as many parents taking advantage of this opportunity as possible. Please come out and join us, babysitting and dinner will be provided for all the kids. We hope to see you all there.
October 12th, 2009 Today starts the Scholastic Book Fair which will run all week. Look for the special happenings through out the week starting with the brown bag lunch with parents and kids k- 6th today and ending with the Fall Festival on Friday from 5:30-7:30. Look for all the details in your Friday Facts newsletter sent home last Friday or read it here online. Please remember to check with your homeroom parent to find out ways you can volunteer and make this Fall Festival the best ever.

Tonight at 6:00 we will be having our second PTO meeting. At tonight's meeting we have a special guest Judi Tabor from the childern's ward at TMH and we will be voting on our next fund raiser. Any parent at tonight's meeting will have a vote so please come out and let your voice be heard. Remeber that with your PTO membership you will receive child care and dinner for all kids. ***Monday, October 5th, 2009 the cookie dough will be here, please plan to pick up your orders as soon as possible next week****

The first PTO meeting of the 2009/2010 school year was held last night and I want to thank all the parents who
came out, it was great to see so many new faces! The minutes will be posted soon. This year's PTO Board is excited about increasing parent involvement and want your opinions and suggestions on how we, as parents, can best provide support to the wonderful staff at Betton Hills and in the process continue to raise the learning experience of our childern. In the next few weeks I, as Secretary, will be updating the website with a calendar of PTO events, contact information for the board members so you can talk to any of us about your wishes for this school year and other relevant information. Please check back as often so you can to stay updated on all Betton Hills events.
