All About your Teacher

Hello parents and students:

My name is Crystal Wood and this is my second year teaching  here at Betton Hills Preparatory School!

I would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself.  I was born and raised in Crawfordville, Florida. I graduated from Flagler College in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL endorsement. Soon after graduation, I was able to take over for a teacher on maternity leave in first grade. When the school year was completed, I then took over for another teacher on maternity leave the following school year. Since then I have been working full time as a substitute teacher in many different grade levels. I have also been able to participate as a summer camp counselor for two years.

I have been married to my wondferul husband Marshall for one year. We live in Havana with our three dogs and our cat. I love the country life and the quiet surroundings.

My educational philosophy is for all students to become life-long learners. It is important that the students meet and exceed their educational goals, and enjoy the educational process along the way.

I am very excited to be at Betton Hills Preparatory School!

Sincerely,

Crystal Wood
