 Dear Parents, Welcome to Betton Hills Kindergarten Program! I am thrilled that you have decided to become part of the BHPS elementary family. I look forward to getting to know you and your family better as we venture into a new year together. As we begin this journey, I thought it would be nice if you were able to know me a little better. My name is Kari Starling, and I am excited to have the honor of being your child’s teacher for this upcoming year. I am a graduate of Florida State University and am certified in Early Childhood Education. In addition to a yearlong internship in a first grade classroom, this will be my fifth year teaching and third year at Betton Hills! I am married to a wonderful man named Joshua. Together, we love to cheer on the Seminoles, travel when possible, and spend time with our dog, Chili. I am sure you must be excited and anxious as you look to the year ahead. I want to assure you that kindergarten will be a wonderful experience for your child. I am dedicated to each of my students and try to make every day that your child is in school a great one! This year, through whole group, small group, and hands-on activities, your child will have opportunities to learn more about the vast world that surrounds them. They will also advance themselves in reading, math, science, and social studies as we all learn together each day. Included on this website, you will find many things that need your attention.
