Temple Beth Elohim is extremely proud of the talented and dedicated team that works together to make our programs happen.

Brett Lubarsky (Havayah Educator, BELY, Camping) has been part of the Temple Beth Elohim community for the past six years.  In addition to leading multiple Chavurot and coordinating Shabbatonim for Havayah, Brett also works with the TBE Youth Team and Camping Initiative.  Brett has taught and worked with Jewish youth for several years at multiple congregations and organizations in both New York and Massachusetts, and spent five summers at URJ Eisner Camp in various capacities. He was the recipient of the URJ Youth Worker of the Month Award in September 2007, serves on multiple committees related to Jewish Informal Education and Jewish Service Learning, and regularly consults with and runs workshops related to youth programming for congregations in the northeast region. When he’s not teaching, advising or coaching, Brett can be found cheering on the Red Sox and Celtics, playing soccer or pretending he’s Spiderman.

Sarah Fishman (Junior Youth Educator, JELLY, Camping) is so excited to begin her third year as a TBE teacher and her first year as TBE’s full time Junior Youth Educator. In addition to teaching 4th grade, she will coordinate the 6th/7th grade Ma’asim Tovim program, continue to serve as the youth group advisor for JELLY (6th/7th grade), oversee TBE’s junior youth groups, lead a Rosh Chodesh: It’s a Girl Thing! group and help coordinate TBE’s camping initiative. Over the past four years Sarah has worked extensively with Jewish youth at multiple Boston area congregations and has served as a counselor and senior staff member at URJ Eisner and Crane Lake camps. She graduated summa cum laude from Brandeis University last spring with Bachelor’s degrees in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and Women's and Gender Studies.
