Tourism growth and enhancement has always been the aim of the Bataan Tourism Council Foundation with the able support of the Provincial Government of Bataan. Among the activities of the foundation is the Pawikan Festival, being celebrated every end of November in Nagbalayong, Morong whose main focus is to awaken the awareness of people not only of Bataan but also elsewhere on the need to conserve and protect the dwindling number of sea turtles, known locally as pawikans. Coupled with this is the need for the preservation of their nesting grounds along the beautiful stretch of beaches in Bagac and Morong towns.

During the Pawikan Festival, we have lined up a number of activities to make the same interesting and memorable for the guests, the participants and the residents. A major highlight is the simultaneous releasing of the hatchlings to the sea on Sunday morning, November 30, at 8:00 AM at Pawikan Conservation Center in Nagbalayong, Morong.

Here are the activities that you can enjoy and celebrate in the Pawikan Conservation Center..
