We Support

Our Structure

AYSO's grassroots program starts with a community-based league, called a Region. A Region can range in size from a few hundred players to several thousand. Each Region is supervised by a Regional Commissioner and a local Board of Directors. We are known as Region 46.

A group of regions in close proximity make up an Area. Area Directors are responsible for activities of the regions in their Area, as well as Area-wide activities. We are under Area 10.

For administrative purposes, AYSO divides the country into 14 geographic Sections based on player population. Section Directors oversee activities in their respective Sections. We fall under Section S.

How do you know which Division each player belongs? The "cut off" date is July 31st, on that day you ask what's the age of the player.
For example, if the answer is 11 years old, then you belong to the U12 Division, that is, "under 12".

Our Philosophies

The goal of Region 46 is to provide a youth soccer program where young people can learn to develop a positive self-image, self-confidence and other positive character traits through their interest and participation in soccer based on the American Youth Soccer Organization Philosophies.

Open Registration

Our program is open to all children between 4 1/2 and 19 years of age who want to register and play soccer in our program. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing.

Everyone Plays

Our goal is for kids to play soccer so we mandate that every player on every team must play at least one half of every game and in some cases three quarters of every game.

Balanced Teams

At the start of each primary season we form teams as evenly balanced as possible because it is more fun where teams of equal ability play.

Positive Coaching

Winning kids are built up, not torn down. We train and encourage our coaches to make the extra effort to understand and offer positive help to our players, rather than negative criticism.

Good Sportsmanship

We desire to create a positive environment based on mutual respect, rather than a win-at-all costs attitude, and our program is designed to instill good sportsmanship in very facet of AYSO.
