Lauren Lindelof-Leith came to Avalon School this fall after teaching in the Duluth area for twelve years. While in the Duluth area she taught at Washburn Edison Charter School, Fond du Lac Ojibwe School, and at The College of St. Scholastica (for a summer program called SUMS). She earned her degrees in science at the UW of Superior. She and her students were actively involved in many environmental studies working with local scientists and collecting data for them. Lauren chose Avalon School when she relocated to the Twin Cities because of its flexibility in teaching methods and Avalon’s connections to the academic and business community. Lauren is teaching Physics, Chemistry, and eighth grade Earth Science at Avalon. She is excited to be working in such an energetic environment with a very talented staff. When Lauren has free time she enjoys lots of out door sports including canoeing, biking , kayaking, skiing and hiking. She currently lives out in Plymouth and is looking to purchase a home in Saint Paul soon. |
