Annika (Anni)  stumbled upon Avalon through the MN Charter school website while looking for teaching positions for the 2006-2007 school year.  She is very happy to have found such a wonderful place to have her first teaching position.

Having graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa in December of 2005, Anni worked as a substitute teacher in the St Paul Public School District for the rest of the school year.

In her studies at Luther, Anni had the opportunity to study abroad in China, South Africa, and Argentina.  She is enthusiastic about the Spanish language, learning more about the teaching profession, and traveling throughout the world.  Anni also enjoys coaching and playing volleyball, biking, cooking, and spending time in the uptown area where she lives.
