Guitar

Tadhg Kelleher qualified from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (London) in 2003.  He went on to found the Athlone School of Music in 2005, and has been teaching there since.  He has studied under some of the most respected players in the world including Ian Scott, lee Hodgeson and Shawn Baxter. 



Shane Rafferty is the latest member of the School Faculty. He has played with dozens of Blues/rock band throughout the years. Shane first came to the attention of other musicians when he was 13 yrs old wowing them with blazing guitar solos. He is still a bit of a show off.... 

 


Steve Devaney is one of the most dedicated and experienced guitar tutors in the school. He has had success both nationally and internationally with the rock group 'Bunny', and is currently writing and performing songs with the Pop/Rock group 'The Lol's'. He specialises in Rock/Metal/Blues and Country.


 

Lee Roche

Lee is the chief whip administrator of the school. He is the first person you will hear when you call us. Known for his strict sense of quality expected from the school, he can also be found jamming in most of  the bands around town.

Piano

Deborah McKeown
A songwriter by trait, Deborah specialises in popular music performance and songwriting skills. Deborah and her band 'Spoken Spirit' are quickly building a name for themselves as a force to be wreckoned with throughout the country.
 






Drum n' Bass

Keith Allen

As well as many other management duties in the school, keith is also our resident Bass and Drum teacher at thes school. As a music graduate from Maynooth and anthropology enthusiast, his style of teaching focuses on the roots and culture of music. He can also Juggle...


Vocals

Andrea Saachi has been with the school since we started. Originally a lecturer at Academia Musica Moderna, Italy, Andrea graduated top of his class from Bournemouth University. He has just finished his Masters from Maynooth with 1st class Honours. Music technology is second nature to him. He can build you a world class music application with no more than a discarded pizza box and a paper clip...
