That's Sagittarius. The truth seeker. Sagittarius and Diogenes differ in several important respects, however. In his search for the bigger picture, Sagittarius is outspoken, often to the point of bluntness, and sometimes fails to recognize the importance of the smaller picture. It's the reverse of that adage about not being able to see the forest through the trees. He can see the forest just fine; it's the trees that challenges him. The underlying theme of Sagittarius is expansion and growth and the thrust of that expansion is toward the future. The energy of Sagittarius, when drawn into your life through Astro-Yoga, is like an inner prompting or urging so strong that you feel you must follow it. Yoga postures associated with Sagittarius: Like the other fire signs, the Sagittarius series is energetic and somewhat demanding. The triangle postures, in particular, are a familiar part of most yoga classes. These postures, however, are held for a longer period of time than those of the Sun Salutation. Rather than flowing one into another, they create a fire within, building stamina and endurance. The hips and thighs, which are ruled by Sagittarius, are activated throughout most of the postures.
