Sign description:

Capricorn energy is tireless, indefatigable, and infinitely patient. These qualities are embodied in the symbol for the signÑthe goat. True, the symbol isn't quite as pleasing as, say, the Aquarian water-bearer. But it aptly describes the nature of Capricorn as she makes her slow, steady climb to whatever she imagines as the pinnacle. This energy is what you should tap if your career isn't going where you want it to go, if you're changing professions, or if you're facing some sort of long-range project at work or in your personal life.

Yoga postures associated with Capricorn:

We're not sure what a pigeon has to do with a goat, but like the Virgo and Taurus series, this one is clearly related to the Earth. In most of the postures, much of the body is in contact with the Earth and movement of one or more parts of the body is toward the Earth. The pigeon postures strengthens and stretches the spine, hips, thighs and groin. They also open the chest, and massage the kidneys and adrenal glands. The spinal twist postures add strength and suppleness to the spine. They also massage the internal organs and stretch neck and shoulder muscles.
