The SRM involves rebuilding the existing J2EE based system from the ground up using ASP.Net 2.0.  One of key reasons for the platform transition is to heavily take advantage of the Microsoft AJAX.Net library to build new requirements including an online calendar, new reports, charts and dashboard.

The application manages over 1.5 million students, and is due to be rolled out in June 2008.

The project was hugely successful.

IAG Asset Management System - Sydney

posted ‎‎Feb 29, 2008 3:58 AM‎‎ by Adam Tepper

This is a good example of a project that had a mixture of onsite and offsite resources to deliver the final product.

Asia-Australia Technology worked together with a team of business analysts onsite at IAG in Sydney to develop the requirements for this application.  The application was then designed and developed offsite, and then AAT were onsite again during delivery and post-production support.

The application itself was an ASP.Net asset management system that provided the functionality for users to search for and record hardware assets (such as workstations, printers, routers etc.) within the organisation.

This was a very successful project, with very good feedback from the business stakeholders as it helped to streamline many internal processes which were previously paper based.

The Blue Form

Asia-Australia Technology developed their own online workflow application in 2006, The Blue Form.  The Blue Form is available online to users on a subscription basis.  The interface allows users create their own forms online, by dragging and drop form elements onto a canvas, and then assigning a custom workflow to that form.  The application uses complex client-side scripting as well as AJAX functionality to create a rich user experience, with a robust infrastructure. The Blue Form is available at http://www.theblueform.com.
