How does Twitter work with Joint Contact?
Joint Contact members have the ability to publish their current project status to others through their profiles. Once updated this information is made available to others through the team profile. As an option your project status can also be sent to Twitter. Twitter is a free service that allows you to broadcast 140 character messages to others via the web or through SMS. Can I update my current work status without sending direct messages to Twitter?
Yes. When updating your project status just ensure that the option for "Send to Twitter" is left unchecked. Your status will be posted on the team profile but will not be sent to Twitter.
What is a protected update?
Protected updates allow Twitter users to limit who can view their updates. Joint Contact has the ability to send Twitter project notifications, such as when documents are uploaded or when conversations are posted. Because of the open nature of Twitter we recommend this option only be used when protected updates are enabled. Click here to learn more about protected updates and Twitter.
Can I see my Twitter timeline directly from Joint Contact?
Joint Contact only has the ability to send messages directly to Twitter. To see your timeline we recommend that you visit the Twitter website directly.
Is QuickMail SMTP compliant?
Yes. Any messages sent through QuickMail will be received by others using regular email compatible tools.
If I e-mail my team using QuickMail, will recipients appear as a CC or BCC?
Message recipients will be listed in the BCC field.
Can I receive email messages in Joint Contact using QuickMail?
No. QuickMail is a designed for people to send email messages.
Can I send email to a non Joint Contact member using QuickMail?
Yes. Just add their email address(es) in the textbox provided when creating a new message.
