OUR MISSION:

AROC is a grassroots organization working to empower and organize our community towards justice and self-determination for all. AROC members build community power in the Bay Area by participating in leadership development, political education, and campaigns.

OUR PROGRAMS:

ARAB AMERICAN LEGAL SERVICES: Working with a network of immigrant legal groups and grassroots organizations to educate San Francisco residents on their rights and to help empower immigrants to organize politically. Offering free immigration legal services to San Francisco residents, with a focus on low to moderate-income Arab, East African and South Asian communities. 

ARAB YOUTH ORGANIZATION (AYO!): AYO! is made up of Arab youth ages 14-22 from all over the Bay Area who regularly engage in political education, skill building, and organizing.  AYO is currently working on campaign research for the upcoming year.

LEADERSHIP AND EMPOWERMENT: Building leadership and increasing political education with the aim of empowering Bay Area Arab communities through our membership development.

ANTI-DISCRIMINATION HOTLINE: Collecting and registering complaints from the Arab community regarding discrimination and hate crimes, as well as making legal referrals and advocating on behalf of survivors.

MOBILIZATIONS: Organizing San Francisco Bay Area residents to bring Arab voices to anti-war and immigrant justice marches, protests and political lobbying.
