The Area of
district bagh is 1368 sq. km. having projected population estimated in
1994 about 0.443 million. Topogragphically this district falls into
mountainous zone.Administratively, district bagh has three
sub-divisions namely Bagh, Dheerkot and havaily. This district
resembles to district Poonch in all means due to its history, culture,
customs and tradions. The area of this district is highland deeply cut
by rushing hill torrents. District bagh, as a whole is rich in natural
beauty. Bagh, Dheerkot and Suddhen Galli, Hanse Chowki, Neela Butt, Las
Danna, Mahmood Galli, Kahuta , Havaily and Ganga Choti are the main
scenic spots in this district.
When & How to Go !
Bagh town can be visited
year round. This town is accessible by metalled
roads from rawalpindi, district Muzffarabad and
district poonch. You can drive in your own car,
van or bus to Bagh(166 km. from Rawalpinid, 100
km from Muzaffarabad via Kohalla, and 46 km.
from Rawalakot. Its is also linked with
Muzaffarabad via Sudhan Galli (86 km). The area
of higher altitude like Dhirkot, neela butt,
Mahmood gali, Lasdana and Kahuta can be visited
only in summer, as these spots are too cold in
winter.

cold showers and rest houses in Bagh town.

tourist attractions are also available. These

offices of AJK tourism dept, PWD, Forest Department.
