GBI copper in Great Exhibition of 1851

Mention of specimen of copper ore at the Great Exhibition of 1851 from Great Barrier Island mine.

The ‘T. Lewis’ mentioned as being the provider of the specimen is possibly an English relative of Robert Clapham Barstow, the latter being a farmer at Tryphena at the time.
