An aerial tour of Great Barrier Island

These photos were taken in November 1999 by Brent Baker of Okiwi, from a Cessna 172 single-engined aircraft, as a resource for the book 'Great Barrier Island', and are copyright to Don Armitage.
The tour starts as we (four of us) take off from Claris airfield, and make our way up the east coast of Great Barrier Island. I'll put captions to the photos over time, but as a start, the first photo shows the largest river on the island, the Kaitoke River which drains the Kaitoke Wetland, the largest wetland in the Auckland region.
About 80 more photos yet to come.
