August 5, 2009
Dear Colleagues,
I hope that this letter finds you well after a very deserved summer vacation.
The main purpose of this letter is to share with you the information I received from our High School Principal, Mr. Tim Gardina, regarding the SAT exam that is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, October 10. This is an international exam that is administered on the same day all around the world, which means ANS cannot reschedule it, even though the AASCA Basketball Tournament is taking place. As you will remember, the tournament days are October 8, 9 & 10.
ANS expects to have around 200 athletes in the Basketball Tournament, and more than one may be affected by the schedule conflict. For that reason ANS, as the host school, wants to let you know that it is one of the authorized schools in Nicaragua to administer the SAT exam (TEST CENTER 91550) and, if any of your students would like to take it on our campus, there are a limited number of spaces available. If you would like further information on taking the SAT at ANS, please e-mail our College Counselor, Mrs. Rachel Smith-Vaughan, at rsmithvaughan@ans.edu.ni .
You should keep in mind that since, at this moment, we do not know how many students will be involved in the SAT Exam and AASCA Basketball Tournament at the same time, ANS is considering the possibility of NOT scheduling any tournament games on the morning of Saturday, October 10.
However, we are open to any suggestions or recommendations you might have.
In the meantime, please remember that the confirmation date for your participation is Friday, September 4. Once that date has passed, ANS will proceed to make the game schedule.
Sincerely,
Oswaldo Ortiz F.
ANS Athletic Director
