Hello, my name is Ashesh Ambasta. I am a computer science student, and I am mainly interested in theoretical computer science, discrete mathematics, algorithms and programming. I also like playing around with numbers and numerical patterns. Moreover, I enjoy studying the patterns in human languages. Playing around with newer forms of programming such as LaTeX also interests me (seeing a piece of code produce such beautifully formatted outputs is pure joy!).

Apart for my passion for Computer Science, I am an aspiring DJ/Producer and Photographer. My musical interests lie in genres such as Electronica, Acid Jazz, Trance, Progressive Trance, Progressive House, Breakbeat, etc. You can find my music here.

As a photographer, I like shooting macros, portraits, landscapes, urbanscapes, street and other expressive forms of photography. My photography page.

I also take interest in open source software and happen to be a linux enthusiast. I currently run a linux server at my room, which is basically an Intel Xeon box running Ubuntu Server 8.04. Being a theory guy doesn't mean I don't take interest in computer hardware and networking.
