Work Based Learning

Students can earn occupational ed or elective credit toward graduation by working at a job.

Work Site Learning Plan


 Work Based Learning Class and Credit Information

Students who have a job outside of school can earn credit for their work.    In order to earn credit students must complete the following:

  1. Fill out and turn in the Work Based Learning Agreement.
  2. Fill out and turn in the Parent Authorization Form if the student is under 18 years of age.
  3. Complete the Work Based Learning Plan. (.25 credit).
  4. Completed initial visit to student job site by the Work Based Learning Coordinator.
  5. Turn in pay check stubs to Work Based Learning Coordinator. (Credit amount is based on pay check stubs).
Students who turn in their paperwork, have have an initial site visit and complete the learning plan will earn .25 credit for every ninety hours worked.  Students only need to complete the leaning plan in class once.  Once the initial work based learning plan is complete, students can join other classes while continuing to earn credit for their work time.

This Work Based Learning Plan includes information on the scan skills, 21st century skills, skills students will need for their future careers and skills employers are looking for in new employees.
