2. Read and study the website How PCs Work to learn the parts of the computer.
3. Pass the the parts of the computer test. Know what the parts are and what they do. You also need to know the acronyms.
4. Research and explain the Terminology for Computer hardware and include the terminology in your engineering journal. Take the Quiz
5. Draw and properly label what the inside of a computer looks like and include it in your engineering journal.
6. Know and be proficient at getting into the BIOS (also known as set up) and the basic features of the BIOS.
7. Know the ports on the computer and what they are for and pass the ports test. o Serial o USB o Parallel o PS/2 o RJ45/Network o Modem o Sound

24. Read one hardware related article a week (about six articles) and write a half page summary about the article and post it on the hardware class blog or wiki.
25. Contact a computer expert outside the classroom about hardware issues through a blog, wiki, message board or other. Include this expert information in your engineering journal.
25. Demonstrate excellent safety when working with computers.
