Mobile LiDAR is an extremely efficient data collection tool for transportation corridors, roads, railroads, runways or waterways. The level of detail obtained from our LYNX mobile system is unsurpassed. We provide survey grade accuracy at highway speeds. While others have claimed this, the LYNX actually does it. What does that mean for Departments of Transportation? 1. Safety: We can capture assets, bridge clearances, and overhead obstructions without having to leave the mobile LiDAR vehicle. 2. Accuracy: Using CORS stations and Applanix's Smart Base software, we collect data which has an accuracy within the 2.5 to 5cm range. When additional base stations are added, the data accuracy is even greater. 3. Efficiency: Our LYNX system can operate day or night, between 4 to 8 hours per day. Hundreds of miles can be collected in a day, depending on the application. The LYNX is a truly versatile system, allowing for quick installation on any ground based platform. Our friends at WH Pacific were the first to install and operate a LYNX from a boat. We were the first to install and operate a LYNX on a rail platform.
