Background:
 

Des McNicholas is an established freelance writer and editor who has written hundreds of published articles on topics as diverse as management, financial planning, technology, computer games, helicopter rescues, national accreditation standards, military history and school fetes.  He has also written major training and policy publications, drafted bid proposals and tender documents, edited business papers, prepared press releases and developed scripts and presentations.  He brings a wide experience base to his writing, including several years as the site manager of the Tidbinbilla deep space tracking station, service as a senior Army officer, director of business development for a major company, and as a regular trainer for the Australian Institute of Management.
