A. How is your Utopia a reaction to the utopia that you read about in your independent novel? My utopia is a reaction to the book "Fahrenheit 451". It's pretty much an opposite reaction. In Fahrenheit, education and knowledge were frowned upon. They where not considered necessary. My mind kinda rebelled against that, helping me form a utopia formed around knowledge, education, and achievement. B. What historical precedents (or from other works of fiction) have influenced your Utopian ideas? Other than Fahrenheit, really nothing. It was mostly based upon what I thought was needed and what I thought would work well as a utopia. C. How is your Utopia a reaction to the society that you are living in? It is kinda a reaction where I take things we use in the society I'm living in and I worked them to fit my needs. I took out some aspects that I didn't find appealing, and added others that weren't there that I thought was needed. ![]() |
