The national language at Risker Island is English being started by a group of people from the United States. The citizens of Risker Island decided to keep it this way because they didn't want to take too much time to create a new language. Instead they put their time to getting Risker Island on its feet and started as soon as possible. The specific criterion to enter Risker Island is just space. It was decided that the maximum occupancy is 10,000 people since the space is limited, at 5,500 square miles. People with any ethnicity, religion, or language are allowed at Risker Island. All that they need to have is an attitude that enjoys the excitement of danger. ![]() C. What are the specific skills, if any, possessed by the first generation of
citizens in this Utopia? The first generation of the citizens had many different skills. There were people from most of each area of career. With the education in so many different areas, Risker Island was started at a very fast rate. Building skills were definitely a great skill to have at the start of Risker Island because a place for people to sleep and rest, like a house was one of the starting points to the island. Survival skills were also a great help when supplies started to get low. Organizing and planning were also very important skills that gave Risker Island a format and schedule. Most of this was done before going to the island. BuildingD. How does your Utopia deal with the concept of race, especially in its incecption (beginning)? Does it have only one race? Does it allow mixed race bonds to be formed? ![]() The concept of race was never a big deal on Risker Island, even in the start. What was really important at the start was skills and knowledge. Having more money was also a help since in order for a society to start in 1738 a lot of supplies were needed and this can not be purchased in the United States without money. At the start of Risker Island to present day, there has always a variety of people of different race, religion, language, etc. One thing that is common amongst all the citizens of Risker Island is that the motto, "Where Danger is Welcome Rather than Avoided!" is believed to be a necessity in life. |
