A. Community services
1. Health Care/Hospitals The main hospital is located at the center of the island. Here, people are treated for short term and long term illnesses and diseases. Rather than having hospitals and doctor's offices, the Committee decided it would be most efficient to combine the two. Doctors in Pascopolis are every well trained.
2. Libraries
Libraries are a big part of Pascopolis. When the society began, PASCA members brought the books they owned with them, and all of the books were gathered and put into a library that everyone in the society was allowed to use. All new books that people acquire are given to the library, so that everyone can read them. After all, people usually read books only once (unless they are really good, in which case they can be checked out multiple times.) Librarians have a big job. They are expected to read all the books in the library at least once, which is no problem because all Librarians are expected to love to read. Librarians are also in charge of helping people find books, helping students with research and reading, and ordering new books from all over the world for the library. Libraries in Pascopolis contain shelves full of books (and some empty ones waiting to be filled). There are also tables and chairs for students and people to study and read at.
3. Fire protection
People volunteer to be in the fire fighting service. Anyone who does so will be rewarded. They will work two days a week, and will not be penalized for not doing their regular jobs during those time periods. B. Urban planning 1. Types of homes (single-family, multiple-family, apartment complexes, long houses, etc.
In most cases, houses in Pascopolis house one family. Smaller families/couples can chooose to live in apartments or two-family towhouses.
Most one family houses have a simple floor plan looking something like this.
The three kinds of housing options.
2. Where will industry, storage and warehouses be found and how will it be organized
Storage and Warehouses will be located at the center of the island, where it is easliy accessible. People volunteer to work in the warehouses and storage centers, and will be rewarded for their work. 3. Recreation centers Parks are located all around the island, as well as man-made pools to swim in. Wild life parks are also located around the island. All are open for visitors.
C. Funding 1. Taxes 10% of all income is given to the government. This money is used for the protection of the people, the growth of Pascopolis (importing books, cloth, etc; building houses and buildings), and the education system.
