A. How will this Utopia come into being? Be very specific about deliberate creation versus accidental creation.

 B. What is the time line for the creation and development of this Utopia?

If you began building tomorrow, where will your society be in 5 years?

• 135 people made it to the secret shelter, and within one week the savage war ended, with of course no clear winner.

• Now, 5 years after we have made alot of progress with our society. A new language has been established, Utopian, it has been created by all and learned by all so that we could speak to and understand each other. It is also a symbol of leaving behind the past and moving towards what ever the future holds for us.  

• We have established 7 Commandments which we all think will benefit our new way of life. We have all sworn an oath to these commandments and have all signed a treaty called the Forbearance Act, which states that you firmly believe that when you judge, discriminate or in any way hurt someone that is a different race, gender, or religion than you, you are promoting war and destroying peace. Everyone signed the document and it is know housed in the Modern Earth Museum. This Gallery of Art, stories, documents, pictures and journals is just beginning to be filled with items that have present day historical meaning, all the new adavances in our society in M.E.T (Modern Earth Time). This museum is open to the public 12 hours a day every day. We have also established the Quondam Earth museum, this homes all memories that have been kept from the Quondam Earth Time or Q.E.T as it is most commonly refered to. We established these 2 museums for a single and fundamental purpose, to pass on our knowledge and expirences to our childern and to the future of Peace-ism. If the purpose of our brave decision to go against the warring world to create a place of peace and prosperity becomes forgotten, Peace-ism could never survive.

• Every Sunday there is a community meeting where we discuss topics ranging from politics, to food production, to family life. There is no leader, you just come and address your issue and every one gets the oppertunity to give input on the subject. Voting is kept to a minimum, but on rare ocassions when voting is nessisary, majority wins.

• We all live in our own houses, which really are more like sturdy and water proof huts made out of wood that we found in nearby forests. We were all responsible in building our own, but if we need help with something, we work as a team.

• We all must work 6 hours a day, 5 days per week, and NEVER on holidays. Every holiday that existed in Q.E.T. is celebrated, (Example: even if you don't practice Christianity, you must be respectful and can not work on Christian Holidays) with the exeption of Independance Days or any other holidays related to our past home countries. Also 2 more holidays have been created recently, July 21st- Day of Anticipation (the day we first went out of hiding), and Oct 3rd- Unification Day (The day everyone swore into Peace-ism and became unified)

 

• Every one can pick there own job to do, and since there are know children yet, the society is focused on creating an adavanced and fully-functioning way to live. From food, to housing, to future school systems. Currently, we have many different types of planted food growing, which have become our main food supply because we have a limited number of live animals. Once the animal populations start to steadly increasing, we will use them as food.

We also have an expanse of land to some day fill up.

• The Population has know increased to about 270 people. Now many of the Founding Generation are growing old and some have died. We have set a great piece of land on top of a prestine hill, know named The Place of Great Serenity to be Peace-ism's first cemetary. Everyone that dies gets a proper burial where all of their closest friends and family have a procession up the mountain to The Place of Great Serenity.

• Now that there are childern of almost every age, schools are a huge part of the society. There are 2 schools, a Primary School (1st-7th grade) and an Advanced School (8th-12th grade). Since there arent many students in each grade, we have temporarily combined classes, so that each class has 2 grades and about 20 students. (example: 1st and 2nd grade are to be temporarily combined.) Once there are more students per class, we will make all grades seperate. There are 8 designated teachers and 6 back ups. School goes for 5 hours/5 days a week. Some subjects taught are... math (depending on how well they do, there is also higher difficulty math classes), Language Arts, History of Peace-ism and Beyond(but just History for short), Science, and Careers (a class for grades 8-12, to help kids decide what profession they will want to start, and training for that job.)

We are building a University. It is still in process, but by the time it is finished it could house over 1200 students. The point for the University is to better prepare students for the career they have chosen. There is only one requirement to get in... you have to have completed grades 1-12. Even adults can go to the university.

 

• New Technological advances and ideas are being born and are starting to take shape.

In 500 years?

• Peace-ism in 500 years has become a modern but distinguished society. Its cobblestone streets bustling with people, its quante buildings, and family-owned farms. Along with the energy efficient cars, machinery, and internet that all run on solar power. We have wells that send running water into your home, and school systems that not only provide a high level education but also promote the commandments and principles of Peace-ism.

• The school system is completely functional and triving, there are many students enrolled in all grades and the University.

 

• The most impressive part of this society in 500 years is that is has never been even close to war. It respects all people and it was based on something so strong as the desire to live in a peaceful place that it will never fail. Its inhabitants know no other way to live than in total peace and equality. How ever, they are aware of what could happen if they do not follow the laws set for them, through the meuseums they can see a real example of a society fell because of war. And none of them want history to repeat its self.

 How do people find out about your Utopia? Do people accidentally stumble across it through exploration? Is a member of the society telling the story of the utopia?

• Only a one person from every country would originally find out, and once they where safe and the rest of the world was destroyed, they would be the only onces to be inhabiting the world. The from there they could have kids and the population would then start to increase and rebuild.
