Brook's Utopia‎ > ‎

Brook's Origin

A. How will this Utopia come into being? Be very specific about
deliberate creation versus accidental creation.

The Beginning

The countries of Ameraindia and Cubzilia were huge rivals and had many differences. For centuries they had been enemies and once even went to war, but in the end neither one won. Talk of either one of the countries would get you imprisoned or even killed. No one dared to disobey the rulers of these countries. That was until the two children of the opposing countries  Lana and Macon met. Lana was 17 and the daughter of Dutch Archer and Dutchess Alicia. Macon was 18 and the son of Lord Ashford and Lady Kyra. They met at a nations convention where all the countries of the world get together and discuss major issues. As soon as they met there was an automatic connection, they spent many months talking and writing letters to one another, but they knew they could never be together, because their parents would disown them. Everything was going smoothly until one day when Lana's father read a letter from Macon. He was furious and locked Lana in the attic for three days until she swore to never speak to him again. But the temptation was too much and she cracked with the pressure. She told Macon what happened and they decided that they were going to run away and start a life somewhere else. They gathered together all their things, and they both convinced their closest friends to come along and escape to a uncharted island. Eight days later after a long boat ride in a big boat the group of people had made it to some random island and began to create their own civilization.

The ship the  group escaped on

Once Lana, Macon and the group safely made it to the island the began the basics. They found abundant sources of food, and created a sturdy shelter. They then set up plans on how they were going to expand and make a society where they can live and thrive.
Five years after the escape their population was up to 20 people and each family had their own house and trading with other relatively close countries was happening. The only things they needed from other countries were metal and building supplies. They had set up a farming area which grew many different crops such as corn, wheat, carrots, cucumbers, potatoes, and lettuce. They also had a massive garden which contained strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, tomatoes, and blackberries. They were a reatively independent country and didn't rely on other countries for much.

C. How do people find out about your Utopia? Do people accidentally stumble across it through exploration? Is a member of the society telling the story of the utopia?

For the first five years the inhabitants of  Dabrin didn't want anyone to find out of its existance for fear their parents would come and take them back so contact with any other people not from Dabrin was not allowed. Once the group was sure the parents would not come after them  people could start to branch out to other countries. They did this by sending messages in bottles oversea, and using the ship to travel but contact with other societies was not a big priority.
