 Footsketball is the national sport of AU of CC. It is a combination of football and basketball. It is also very competitive and hard. In order to be good at footsketball, you have to be very active and healthy. The rules are not very complex, but the game is still very fun.
Rules:
- There are five players playing at a time per team
- Each team has five subs
- The court is 250 feet long and 125 feet wide
- There is a ten feet high basketball-like hoop on each end of the court with a circular whole on the backboard that is 25 inches in diameter
- There are not any out of bounds and there are glass walls on the sides of the court where the ball can bounce off
- The ground is made of grass and the court is indoors
- The ball is a mix between a round basketball and an oval football
- The players try to get the ball into the basket. They get two points for a made shot within 25 feet, 5 points for a made shot between 26 and 50 feet, and they get 25 points for any made shot that is longer than 50 feet.
- Players throw or run the ball down the court. If the ball ever touches the ground then anybody can pick it up
- Players can tackle opposing players to try and get the ball. If players are tackled, then they must throw the ball to a teammate before five seconds or it is the other teams ball
- There are two 25 minute halves and the team with the most points at the end wins
- There are fouls for the same things that are called in basketball and if you get five fouls or two technical fouls (given to players when they are being disrespectful) then they are kicked out of the game
- If a team fouls the opponent, then thee person who got fouled has to throw a free throw from the free throw circle about 55 feet away. If the free throw is made, then that team gets 5 points.
