| How will this Utopia come into being?
AU of CC was created because the world, especially the US, started to cooperate too much. Although a lot of people thought that the world was getting better, the people that were in high power at the time and the very intelligent people knew that it was actually getting worse. They knew that they had to act quick before the people started relying too much on each other. This would eventually lead to mass chaos and everybody would soon dye out. They made a plan and had anybody that wanted to be in AU of CC take a test (see Entrance Quiz page). The people that passed were allowed into the society, but everybody else wasn't (no families were torn apart unless there was a major reason to do so). After the test was completed by everybody, the gates were closed and everybody that wasn't in it, were locked out. Once everybody outside the gates died, the gates were opened and all of the citizens were released into a bigger area.
What is the time line for the creation and development of this Utopia? If you began building tomorrow, where will your society be in 5 years? In 50 years? In 500 years?
Hopefully, AU of CC won't have to change drastically at any time. Our plan is to gradually get more advanced and learn more ways to incorporate competition into our daily lives. Also, we want to grow our population and the area in which people are allowed to live. If everything sticks to our plan, then in five years our society won't look much different than now. All of the differences that you will see between now and 500 years from now is that competition will have been woven into our lives more and the living area will have grown. Basically, we want our society to stay about the same throughout every year, only making slight adjustments to our society every year to make it better. This idea will hopefully allow for a more stable and long-lasting society.
How do people find out about your Utopia? Do people accidentally stumble across it through exploration? Is a member of the society telling the story of the utopia? AU of CC was broad-casted in 189 countries (excluding Cuba, Vatican City, and North Korea) and six continents, excluding Antarctica, for about five weeks. Anybody that wanted to join was allowed as long as they could pass the test. Apparently, the test was very hard because only a handful of people got in. After those five weeks, everybody outside the gate became extinct and so nobody could end up finding AU of CC. The society was only made up of the people that wanted to take the time and effort to complete the test with a high enough score to come in. After that nobody else joined because there was nobody else that could join. |
