What are the commandments for this Utopia?
1. Competition is used everyday
2. There cannot be more cooperation than needed
3. There has to be more competition than cooperation
4. Citizens will play fair during competition
5. Citizens will respect everybody during competition
6. Citizens will be good losers and winners after competition
7. Citizens will be respectful while acting as a spectator during competition
Describe and, if possible, name the informing political philosophy
of this Utopia (for example, Democracy, Monarchy, etc.) AU of CC is kind of like a democracy and meritocracy mixed together in a way. It is called a demritocracy. There is one main leader who is one of the smartest in the society. All that he/she does, is make sure that the society is running smoothly and that nobody is going out of control. If he/she starts to go power crazy, then the citizens are allowed to elect a new leader. The way that they elect them is kind of like the way in the USA. There is a list of the top five smartest people in the society. The people on that list are the candidates. Everybody else over the age of 18 gets to vote on who they think would be the best leader. This way there is always a smart leader who will make the right choices and he/she will not be hated throughout the society. All of the people who voted for their leader in AU of CC are sub leaders. These people are kind of like mayors for their own property. They are all like the leader, but for a smaller area. Describe the level of participation and how they are accomplished for the following governmental
activities: Choosing/removing leaders Leaders are considered leaders for segments of 25 months (2 years and 1 month) or until they start to become corrupt. The segments would be longer, but since AU of CC is based off of competition, they can't be. Most of our leaders have not been very public about their feelings, but our first leader was. He was made famous because of his writing. He wrote one of the most famous writing pieces ever in AU of CC called Life as a Leader. It is a series of more factual than fictional journal entries put into one book. Here is one of his basic entries: February 5, 2501
Today is the first anniversary of AU of CC and the society is running very smoothly. So far nothing bad has happened, and it looks like nothing will. I have been walking around the society and have really noticed the amount of competition that there is everywhere. I think that my first idea that I will propose is to expand AU of CC. That is really the only thing that needs improving. I really enjoy living here. It is the best place that has ever been founded and I have one of the best jobs in the society. If I wasn't living here, I don't know what I would do because this place is amazing. I am very glad that I passed the entrance quiz and also I am glad that I am leader.
Creating/changing laws Their are five laws that have been in existence since 2500, but others can be added. So far, no laws have been added, but if anybody thought of anything that should be a law, then it would be discussed. Anybody can think of a law, but it has to be voted on by the whole society. Only one new law was thought of so far in the society, but it was outvoted 90% to 10%. The thought was, if somebody tries to cooperate then they cannot compete any longer. That was denied because everybody has to compete. These are the five current laws: 1. If competition is not used everyday then you will go to jail for 5 days 2. If competition is not used more than cooperation then you will go to jail for 2 days 3. If citizens don't play fair then they will go to jail for 2 days 4. If citizens don't respect everybody as a competitor or spectator on there second time, they will go to jail for 5 days 5. If citizens are bad losers and winners after competition on there second time, they will go to jail for 2 days
What are the “checks” on governmental power, if any?
Leaders are impeached or taken away from being a leader whenever they start to become corrupt with power. Since they are impeached right when they start to become corrupt, they do not have time to become really powerful and start to become a dictator. The leaders wouldn't have time to get people on their side because they would have already been impeached. This system helps keep AU of CC running smoothly. Everybody is a leader, so individual ideas are required for perfect life. Anybody can come up with an idea. It doesn't always get past just an idea, but sometimes it does. In the year 2525, over 250 ideas were announced, but only 2 did not get vetoed by the citizens. These are the two:

At the local level?
The AU of CC citizens take shifts of 2 hours and 50 minutes as law enforcers. Every citizen that is over the age of 25 gets to be law enforcers. All that they do is make sure that everybody is competing in a fair way. They also make sure that there is not any violence. Usually there isn't, but whenever there is a problem it is handled immediately. There is always 5 law enforces on duty at a time to cover more of the society and in case something really bad happens. Luckily, there has only been a few people that have been caught, but nobody as done anything really bad yet. At the national level?
There is no international level.
What type, if any, of diplomacy (working with other countries without violence) will this Utopia use?
There are no other societies on Earth and until we find societies outside of Earth, there will not be any connection with them. What type, if any, currency will this Utopia use? AU of CC uses money from the United States. We couldn't make our own money at the beginning, so we used the US dollar as a draft. Since we used that draft, we can now make our own money. All we did was change the picture on it. We used the faces of important people that really influenced the thought of competition. Michael Jordan who was a famous basketball player is on the one dollar bill. Muhammad Ali, a famous boxer, is on the two dollar bill. Lance Armstrong, a famous cyclist, is on the ten dollar bill. Tiger Woods, a famous golfer is on the 100 dollar bill. Chris Evert, a famous tennis player, is on the 1,000,000 dollar bill. The higher the number on the dollar bill, the more it is worth. Also, if the number is higher, then there will be less made. For example, the one dollar bill has the most made and the 1,000,000 dollar bill has the least. None of the necessities cost money, only the extra stuff does. Also, everybody got one million dollars to start.
