Allie's Utopia‎ > ‎

Allie's Industry, Agricultre, and Geography

A. What is the geography of this Utopian place? What are the major geographical features (bodies of water, mountains, canyons, etc.)? What does this place look like?
Since our current Utopia is built in the United States, it has the geographical features of the US, but as our Utopia goes on, we plan to expand to the whole world.

B. What natural resources, if any, are available? How will they be used?
The natural resources that are accessible to us are all of the resources remaining in the world, after the attack. We have petroleum, diamonds, wheat, fruit, vegetables, water, gold, etc. By being the only society in the enviorment, we have access to an immense amount of resources.

C. Is the climate suitable for agriculture? If so, what crops will be
cultivated? Please make reference to population statistics for
feasibility calculation.
There are still crop areas left from the attack in remote locations. We will use these areas to grow crops such as oranges in California. When the bunker was built, we also took seeds down there so new crops could be grown in areas where it was suitable. Since there was a lot off people in our original population, we start out by using the crops that were already there, meanwhile, planting new crops ( wheat, fruits, vegetables). Then, after the new crops have matured, we will use those crops.

D. How are jobs determined? What percentage of the workforce is
dedicated to the survival and growth of the Utopia?
Your job is determined by the leaders of the jobs when you turn 16. From age 12 to 16, you will be interning at different jobs. Then, one your 16th birthday, you will be assigned your job and work at it for the rest of your life. So, as you can see in my society, adulthood starts much earlier.
Doctors and scientist will be dedicated to growing our population, by curing the sick and researching new cures. Other small jobs, such as fashion designers and people performing daily tasks for other people( hairstylist, sanitation engineers, etc.), will not play such an important role in the survival of our society. So,about 50% of the workforce will be working towards helping our society survive.

E. Is this Utopia notable for any particular crop (e.g. silk, kiwi fruit) or
industry (e.g. postage stamps, fine furniture)?

Our society is known for creating safety devices.  We create earth protectors, which are a synthetic atmosphere that protect the world from lighting storms, hail, wind, and other natural disasters. Although, disaster occurring inside of the atmosphere; fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, etc., will be dealt with in other ways. We are notable for coming up with this unique safety net.

F. What, if anything, is imported? From whom?
Since we are the only society in known existence, we can only import within our community. But, within our society, we control the goods so there is no need for trading these goods. We just pass goods/crops within our society to different areas.
G. What, if anything, is exported? To whom?
The same issue occurs with exporting. Our society exports good through out the society. Doing things this way, even though there is no choice, eliminates issues with economies changing, changing country relationships, etc.
