The significance of being able to read the Bible on my site is to help the "Trust in God" part of my belief. The Significance of the Bible Verse of the Day is also to help the "Trust in God" part of my belief.Belief Structure TemplateI. Core Beliefs(this is also a link to an idopia discussion)a. What are the essential truths (belief statements) of your -Ism?
1-If you're not having fun and you're not loving it, then it's not for you. 2- Trust in God and he will give you everything you need in one way or another
3- No person should go without having friends 4- Obey your father and mother and everything will go well with you 5- Do not use the Lords name in Vain 6- Do not make any idols
7- Have no gods besides the LORD our God
8- Do not commit adultery
9- Do not murder
10- Remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy
11- Honor your Father and Mother
12- Do not covet
13- Do not steal
14- Do not lie
b. How do you act differently because of your beliefs? I choose my friends by following my beliefs. I also will try to look for opportunities to help people. I will also try to look for opportunities to spread God's word and show God's love to people. Also just trying to be as kind and Christlike as possible. c. What is the purpose of life according your –Ism? The purpose of life is to enjoy life to its fullest and have a relationship with God. It is also to try to help people with their problems. Living for God and trying to be the best person you can be is also what you are trying to live for. d. How does the rest of the world differ from your core beliefs? Why are you right? (Why do you keep your beliefs in the face of others who do not share them The rest of the world may differ from my beliefs because they may or may not be their beliefs. I am right because I believe in what I believe. Nobody can tell me that my opinion is wrong because it is my opinion. In America you have a right to free speech and a right to religion. America is a free country and you can believe what you want. e. What beliefs do you you share with others? (What common ground do you see between your -Ism and others' -Isms) - Trust in God - Jesus is the way - You need fun in your life - Balance is good f. Which core belief do you think is the central one that all other beliefs revolve around? (You can create a concept map of one of your Core Beliefs using Bubbl.us, Inspiration, or Gliffy) a. What is your role in society according to your -Ism? (How do you fit in among your peers?) My role in society is to make the best of life and help people whn they are in need. I would hope that my peers would be the same, and I know some people who are like this too.
b. What is your method of connection to others? (Are you part of a greater whole? Do you use emotions? Are you able to relate to others through a common experience? Do you see yourself in groups or cliques?) I am part of a greater whole, I see emotions and I am able to relate to others through a common experience. I am part of a greater whole because I know that lots of people share lots of the same beliefs that I do. I see emotions because I can empathize well and understand how people are feeling. And I can relate to others through a common experience because again I share lots of the same beliefs as others. And because of these beliefs that I share with many people, there have been any common experiences through faith and many other aspects too. c. How much do you care for yourself vs. other people? (Is your –Ism more concerned with selfishness or giving?) Well in my ism there is always a belief that people are more important than things. My parents have always brought me up this way and I feel it is exactly right. So my ism was more concerned wth giving than selfishness because that is what is moraly right. e. What is the prevailing metaphor or image that you would use to describe progress? Progress is basically just when anything is accomplished. Or when you just take even a little step forward. But progress can also mean taking a step backwards. So Progress is making some sort of difference somewhere. Why would you define your –Ism with this image? Defining and -Ism with an image because it allows you to make a connection in your mind so you can actually picture the -Ism as a physical image. III. Solving Problemsa. What are the “societal goods” that you promote, and how do you promote these? (charity, equality, etc.) Some Socital Goods as they are called, that my belief promotes are that everyone likes what they are doing for a job and makes good enough pay to give money to charity for people who can't get jobs who are legal United States Citizens.
b. What are the “societal ills” that you try to solve, and how do you solve these? (racism, stress, etc.) There are Societal Ills in any society and this belief we try to solve some "ills" like poverty, starvation and racism. We try to solve these not by just taking money from the hard working people and giving is to the slackers, or by taxing harder working wealtier people more, but by doing just the opposite. Making people work for money and not just depend of the government to steal money from the harder working. We try to solve racism by not giving people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton power who get power and money by trying to stir up trouble between the races, when they do that it just makes even more contravercy. c. How does your –ism deal with the invisible, but persistent pressures of life (Patriarchy, the pressure to be a success, the pressure to be cool)? First of all we don't try to overcorrect things like patriarchy by trying to reverse it because that defeats the whole purpose. We say things like "You wouldn't be here if it weren't for a woman" and making sure there is equality. IV. Debatea. What are the debates that you are concerned with waging? Why? (Abortion, Equality, Truth, Etc.)
b. How would you frame these debates so that only your ideas would be seen as right? Just speak the whole truth in the debate and there wouldn't have to be any trickery or framing involved. Also if you can learn to keep your composure in debates then you are going to do better than if you were to fly off the handle. You can also try to get the other person to lose their composure. If they lose their composure than they might not be taken as seriously. If you just be honest and ask God for the right words to say, you are going to do well. V. Your Heada. How does your –Ism influence the way you see everyday sights, events, and objects? If someone were to see someone else stuck on the side of the road, someone who doesn't share some of my beliefs might just say something like "Haha what a loser" or "Stinks for them". But people who share my beliefs would probably see it as an opportunity to help somebody and thank God for it. In this belief system there is a belief of all men are created equal. Thus nobody's time is worth any more than anybody else's time. People of this belief system see things as gifts from God or opportunities to help somebody instead of a burden.
b. What is a day in your life like because of your -Ism? A day in my life (like the question before this) would be lived to the fullest always looking for ways to be of service to people and opprtunities to spread God's word and love. I would also try not to be rushing or being pressed for time. When you ask somebody how it's been lately, lots of the time they will give an answer similar to "busy". I feel that life is better lived when people feel relaxed instead of stressed or rushed.
It is like eating a peice of chocolate if you just inhale the whole thing and eat it really quickly then you won't be able to enjoy it. If you take your time and eat it slowly then you are going to enjoy it for a whole lot longer.
VI. Other Important Aspectsa. What are the other defining aspects of your –Ism that are not discussed in the other sections of this Outline?
- I don't expect people to switch to my belief system but I expect them to respect me and my beliefs just like I respect them and their beliefs
- The Golden Rule; Treat Others How You Want To Be Treated
