Belief Structure TemplateI. Core Beliefsa. What are the essential truths (belief statements) of your -Ism? You should have between 7 and 10 belief statements that outline the goals of your belief system. (i.e., I believe that all humans have the capacity to make the world a better place. Or, I believe that people are essentially evil and must be made good through a well-structured society. You must use Idopia as a place to host these belief statements.)
I believe that the best products are made by competition. I believe that sports need competition. I believe that there will never be an absolute winner. I believe that competition is good. I believe that architecture needs competition. I believe that competition will always exist. I believe that a good goal is to make a product better than someone else. I believe that there can't be more than one winner. b. How do you act differently because of your beliefs? I act differently when any new product comes out, because I will wait until the next company beats the first won and then get it. I know that there will always be a person that will make or find a better way to improve a product. c. What is the purpose of life according your –Ism? The purpose is to show people how to make the world and other products better by competition. I want people to know that competition is good and allows people to reach their full potential. d. How does the rest of the world differ from your core beliefs? Why are you right? (Why do you keep your beliefs in the face of others who do not share them?) Not everyone thinks that competition is good. I am right, because the best stuff we have now is made by people competing to make the best thing. I don't think everyone can be a winner because, there is always someone that is better at what they do. e. What beliefs do you you share with others? (What common ground do you see between your -Ism and others' -Isms) I share the belief that everyone is equal. This belief is seen in my ism as every race is equal, but if you become more successful, then you are seen as a little higher up in the society. Everyone can get to the successful level though at any time. f. Which core belief do you think is the central one that all other beliefs revolve around? (You can create a concept map of one of your Core Beliefs using Bubbl.us, Inspiration, or Gliffy) II. Role in Societya. What is your role in society according to your -Ism? (How do you fit in among your peers?)
My role is to make something better than other companies and make the best products that I can compared to to their products. Another role is more of a goal and it is to become a success. b. What is your method of connection to others? (Are you part of a greater whole? Do you use emotions? Are you able to relate to others through a common experience? Do you see yourself in groups or cliques?) The connection is the beginning project or product to make and then the time in between to make the product better, than the other person and then we meet again after 6 months time to show the results and discuss the winner. There are some groups when people want to work together to make something great that will help improve the world. The best way for this to happen is if the group of people compete against each other. c. How much do you care for yourself vs. other people? (Is your –Ism more concerned with selfishness or giving?) You care for yourself more than others, because you want to win the competition. You might need some help, so that is when you need team work, but overall you want yourself to be the best at making products. e. What is the prevailing metaphor or image that you would use to describe progress? Why would you define your –Ism with this image? (A ladder, a mountain, a treadmill, etc. Feel free to get an image from Morguefile or describe this metaphor through a bubblr strip. or Voicethread) This is more of an example then a metaphor I think that competition is like the space race. The people who get the furthest in space are the people who recognize the problems and the strengths of the other countries or other peoples means of getting further in space. I think the more you explore in space also out lines the progress you make in competition against other countries. Every planet there is another opportunity to get further into the unknown and the person who gets further is the person who recognizes where the last person went wrong and also they recognize how strive to become the best and the most advanced. Every planet you can get to you will be able to get to you will be able to get to again, but in able to get to the next planet you need to compete against someone else or yourself to find a way to advance to the next planet in the best way possible. f. How do you view major social institutions (government, welfare, religion, etc.)? I see government as a power that needs to be there to help the country with its problems. I think welfare should exist only when it is really needed, because I think that people should actually try to solve their problems by themselves, but I think if they really need help then I think the government should help. I don't care what religion people are, unless they are crazy terrorists. I think the economy should work hard to make good products and a way to do this is to let the people compete against each other.

The water can only drain a little bit at a time just like how ideas take time to get addressed. When the ideas for improvement are all filtered through, then we will have a world free of corruption and problem, just like how when the water is drained the bath tub is left dry and clean. Competition helps the tub drain faster. Competition helps ideas get through faster. III. Solving Problemsa. What are the “societal goods” that you promote, and how do you promote these? (charity, equality, etc.)
I think equality is a big societal good that is adressed in the following way. I think that all races are equal and so does my belief, but I think that people who are more successful are a little more respected and looked up to. I still think that everyone should have a chance to become successful, so everyone has a chance to become looked up to and admired. Everyone has that chance, but it is their choice to go though with it.
b. What are the “societal ills” that you try to solve, and how do you solve these? (racism, stress, etc.) I think that stress can be solved by people just taking a break from their work when they are feeling TOO stressed. This gives that person a chance to relax and come back to their work with a fresher mind. Racism should not be an issue, because people are seen more for how successful they are, then what race they are. c. How does your –ism deal with the invisible, but persistent pressures of life (Patriarchy, the pressure to be a success, the pressure to be cool)? The biggest pressure is to be a success. In order to deal with this people would try to get their work done while it is fresh in their mind. If work is getting to stressful, then people should take a break. I think friends, family, and fun is still important. IV. Debatea. What are the debates that you are concerned with waging? Why? (Abortion, Equality, Truth, Etc.)
Equality is a big debate. Every man is equal, but people who are more successful are looked up to more and are seen as being better. Every person has a chance to get to the successful level at any time. Truth is a big one too, because people have to know the truth about the products that the people made. People need the truth when going into buisness with someone, because people don't want to work with liars.
b. How would you frame these debates so that only your ideas would be seen as right? I would show that everyone has a chance at being successful and that that is the big point for improving the world we live in. I would say that the successful people are the people who improve the world the most and by this I want people to try and be a successful individual. I would encourage people to tell the truth by telling them that no person wants to try to improve something with a false idea on how to improve it, these false ideas being the lies from people. V. Your Heada. How does your –Ism influence the way you see everyday sights, events, and objects?
I see everyday sights as something that will be improved in the future. I will also see old monuments and statues as something that stands for the past and then notice where we are now. I will always take the past into account though. Events will be seen as a chance to show off ideas of improvement and hopefully that will lead to a person's success story. I will see objects as something that will always change, because of the speed of technology and improvement.
b. What is a day in your life like because of your -Ism? A day in my ism would be to try and make a new product or make an old product better. You have to always know that the product you make will have to be better than other products like yours, which is where competition comes in. There is always a point in the day where people should take a break in there work. The goal is to become the most respected person and by this competition to be that person the world will get new technology that will improve it to make it better.
VI. Other Important Aspectsa. What are the other defining aspects of your –Ism that are not discussed in the other sections of this Outline?

I liked how you gave a lot of examples about how competition is going around us, however, I think you should mix it up a bit. Every paragraph is how this company is fighting this company, or these companies are competing against each other. It just gets a little repetitive. Other than that it was good.

You used many great real-life examples of businesses going through competitions. Like Snipinshoe said all of the examples are company versus company. Change the flow a little instead of example after example. Give your own life experiences with competition. Relate it to yourself. You still did a good job explaining.
