Playbooks contain your sales team's best practices. Each playbook is a series of repeatable and measurable steps that can be easily applied to a contact. Each step is assigned a timeline and a responsible user. You can create as many playbooks as needed. What do playbooks do? When you assign a contact to a playbook, actions are automatically created for that contact, assigned to the proper users, and scheduled for dates as specified in your playbook and steps definitions. How do I create a playbook? To create a playbook, click on the Playbooks tab at the top of your dashboard. On the playbook screen, click the New Playbook link. Enter a title and description. Click the Create button and your playbook is created. Now you are ready to enter steps in your playbook. Steps are the sequence of events you want to have occur through the playbook process. To add steps to a playbook, click on the add a step link. Enter a title and description for the step and choose the user who will be responsible for the step. Next, enter the number of days you want to elapse from the previous step. If you are entering the first step in a playbook, you may want "0" days, so the step will be due immediately. Steps may be inserted at the end of the playbook or before an existing step. If the step is an email, an email template can be assigned. Finally, click Add a step and your step is created. Steps can be edited or deleted. Please note, changes to a playbook or steps within a playbook will not be changed in a contact already assigned to that playbook. Deleting a playbook will remove the playbook from each contact assigned to that playbook and all remaining steps in the playbook will be removed from the contact. If a contact is assigned to a playbook, all steps of the playbook can be seen under the playbook heading within the contact. Click on the show link to view the playbook details. The current step is designated with a green arrow, upcoming steps are with a blue arrow, and skipped steps with a check mark. Playbook details can be hidden by clicking on the hide details link. To view all your playbooks, click on the Playbooks tab. |
