What are message templates?
Message templates allow you to create a well-authored email message once, and use it throughout your sales process. When
a contact reaches that step, you need only click the "Compose email"
link within the contact and an email is prepared in your local email
client, pre-populated with your contact's email address, subject line,
and text.
How do I create a message template?
To create a message template, click on the Templates tab in your PlaybookIQ account. Select New Message Template. Enter the name and description of the template. Next, compose your message, providing a subject line and text of the message.
Personalize the template with first and last name where you'd like the name to appear by using {{first_name}} to insert your contact's first name and {{last_name}} to insert your contact's last name. For example, if your contact is John Doe, the text 'Dear {{first_name}} {{last_name}}" would automatically create the text 'Dear John Doe' in your message. Click save, and your message template is complete.
What do I do with a message template? Can it pre-populate email messages?
Message templates can be applied to any step in a playbook. When creating or editing a playbook step, click the drop down box under "Use Message Template" and chose the appropriate template. When
a contact reaches that step, you need only click the "Compose email"
link within the contact and an email is prepared in your local email
client, pre-populated with your contact's email address, subject line,
and text. You can modify the composed email if needed, or simply hit 'send' to deliver your email.
