![]() EPIPHONE CENTURY 1953
This Epiphone Century with its single bound laminated mahogany body, 14/20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, single (non-adjustable) pickup with handrest, bakelite pickguard, trapeze tailpiece, individual tuners with plastic buttons, metal peghead logo plate, and volume/tone controls complete the list of appointments. The quick way to describe this guitar for those who are not familiar with this period of Epiphone Century's is that it has much in common with a Gibson ES-125 Deep, although in some respects more character. Such as the grained headstock with Epiphone metal peghead logo, tone spectrum pickup, tortoise pickguard and octagon style knobs. Great action, feel, a few cracks in the binding, a blemish or two in the top and back and some mild, mild, mild, checking at top and back that may not appear via the pictures. Over all a stunning guitar, with a non original hardshell case...........................................$1,750.00
