MissionThe mission of the 32nd Street Canyon Task Force is to rebuild biodiversity as well as improve water quality and water conservation, the Thirty Second Street Canyon Task Force actively protects and restores its 12-acre urban canyon. Tershia serves on the City of San Diego's Community Forest Advisory Board and Citizens for Responsible Wildfire Risk Reduction. Mary Ann SandersfeldMary Ann has owned her residence in South Park since 1986. She recently retired after a multi-decade career involving three distinct areas of endeavor: medical diagnosis and research, pharmaceutical research and development, and the latest, her financial advisory practice. She is one of the original members of the Friends of 32nd Street Canyon. Laura Mays
Laura Mays is a professional graphic artist whose house is situated in the 32nd Street Canyon. Her expertise in concept design and signage contributes to sustainable development. She is one of the original members of the Friends of 32nd Street Canyon. John ShihJohn Shih, formerly a professional environmental consultant with an expertise in environmental permitting, is now a successful investment manager. He has many years of experience of working on environmental restoration projects. Mary LydonMary is the Executive Director of the Urban Land Institute. She also serves on the City of San Diego's Planning Commission. She has expertise in sustainable development and urban farming. She nurtures impressive connections to design and engineering professionals, as well as developers, and regional government decision makers. Kathi DiamantKathi is an actress, media personality and author of Kafka's Last Love. She has worked in broadcast media and print journalism in San Diego for more than 25 years. After co-hosting "Sun Up San Diego" on KFMB-TV in the 1980s, she created and produced the KPBS series "San Diego Treasures" and has served as the "face of KPBS." Kathy VandenheuvelMs Vandenheuvel has more than eight years of experience as a engineer and project manager in the environmental field. As an experienced professional she manages multi-phased environmental projects. Hester GillespieHester is a retired special ed preschool teacher and avid habitat gardener. She has been through the National Wildlife Federation's training to promote gardening for wildlife and is one of their designated Habitat Stewards. She holds a B.S. in Education, Learning Handicapped Credential and Master's in Guidance and Counseling. Laura BurnettLaura is a principal at Wallace Roberts & Todd. A landscape architect and urban designer, Laura's work results in rich and exciting environments where infrastructure and landscape work as a coordinated whole. A gifted designer and skilled project manager, Laura brings to her work a strong commitment to the principles of sustainability. Bonnie PoppeBonnie is a founding member of the Community Development Corporation and former member of the Greater Golden Hill Community Planning Committee . She was on the Board of Directors of the Fern Street Circus and the Board of Directors of Save Our Heritage Organization from 1997 to 1999. A trained parabotanist, she has been a volunteer horticultural guide with Offshoot Tours for 20 years. A retired paralegal, she has degrees in anthropology and in landscape design. Marc Kratzschmar

He has extensive experience in participatory planning, both as a planning professional and as a citizen activist.
