Updated [Chart of Progress]

H.R.211 House Co-Sponsors:  169* (Goal = 218 to assure a majority when the bill comes to the full House.  *Doesn't include Lead Sponsor Rep. Eshoo)

House Energy & Commerce Committee Co-sponsors:  27 (This is the House Committee were H.R.211 currently resides;  there are 59 members of the Energy & Commerce Committee.  We would like to have at least 30 co-sponsors to assure a majority when a hearing is called on the bill.)

S.211 Senate Co-sponsors:  55 (Goal = 60 to assure a significant majority when the bill comes to the full Senate.)

Senate HELP Committee Co-sponsors:  17 (This is the Senate Committee were S.211 currently resides; there are 22 members on the HELP Committee.  We would like to have at least 12 co-sponsors to assure a majority when a hearing is called on the bill.)

Arkansas 2-1-1 is pursuing state legislation for 2-1-1 as well as engaging their members of congress to support the federal "Calling for 2-1-1 Act."  Below are copies of flyers they've developed as part of both of these campaigns. At the Useful Documents & Resources section are links to their flyers, including a selection of Arkansas 2-1-1 Success Stories.

211CA, a partnership of UWCA and CAIRS, developed the materials below to use in the 2-1-1 educational outreach and in their push for co-sponsors.The United Ways and 2-1-1 call centers work together closely to have a coordinated plan.  They determine who has the strongest relationship with the various House members and assign as lead person who is also responsible for coordinating with the partner organization, whether a 2-1-1 or a United Way. They bring in outside "influencer" when and where needed to help secure co-sponsorship. At the Useful Documents & Resources section are links to their strategy memo, 2-1-1CA Fact Sheet, and sample co-sponsor ask letters.

Use the "Submit Update on Activities" form to make sure we are all coordinating our efforts as best possible.  Updates will be included in the weekly Pass 2-1-1 Campaign tracking spreadsheet.
