Hi, my name is Ryan and last summer my friend Phillip and I paddled the entire length of the Mississippi River. As filmmakers we were able to capture the joy and majesty of the river in a 90-minute, feature-length documentary titled The River is Life. Watch the trailer here. Now, this August, Phillip and I are going back down the river in the first ever Mississippi River Movie Tour, a forty-five stop tour from Minnesota to Louisiana, where we will show our completed documentary FREE in cities and towns right on the banks of the Mississippi! This will be a fun-filled, festive Movie in the Park Event, but... We need your help to make it possible.
You see, to put on an event such as this, you need equipment, insurance, gas, food and (occasional) lodging. It's all adding up very fast. But please don’t let me drone on about what we need; here’s what we’d like to do for you!
You can feel good today knowing that your donation will enable communities, cities and towns up and down the length of the Mississippi River to enjoy in a positive, feel-good, adventurous movie that they will remember for years to come. You can feel good knowing that your donation brings the adventure home to you! In this special internet offer. But that’s not all...
I’d also like to give you something else for your generous donation of $25 or more. I would like to give you a symbol of the very birth of the river. Phillip and I started our adventure among the crystal clear waters of the source of the Mississippi River in Lake Itasca, Minnesota. We would like to give you a symbol of the birthplace of America’s greatest river with a vial of crystal clear water, bottled at the source of the Mississippi River. This vial will remind you that a mighty river starts as a tiny trickle, and will inspire you to tackle your own dreams step by step, drop by drop. Ryan, what about the free boat?
I hope I’ve offered you a lot. I hope you can see how getting the DVD, the vial, and a chance to win a top-of-the-line Sea Eagle Explorer Kayak should be more than enough to make you say, “Yeah! Ryan, I will help!” We sure appreciate it. We appreciate the fact that you love adventure. We appreciate the fact you want to see this FREE EVENT TO THE COMMUNITY become a reality, and we appreciate that you don’t mind getting a lot of cool stuff in return. Please contribute today. We need your help, but we’re also about giving back. On top of everything I just mentioned, Phillip and I have also decided to donate 15% of all monies raised through this promotion, as well as 15% of all DVDs sold throughout the tour, to the Barataria-Terrebonne Estuary Foundation, an organization of rag-tag go-getters (kinda like us) who are on the front lines of the Oil Spill Clean-up Efforts in the Gulf. Phillip and I finished our 2340-mile journey down the Mississippi River among the crashing waves of the Gulf of Mexico. We fell in love with the Louisiana Wetlands and want to see them restored to as pristine a condition as when we paddled into them almost a year ago. Please support this amazing film, please help us raise awareness and celebrate in the joy of the river and the joy of adventures everywhere. |

I would like to give you something. Something in exchange for your help in making this dream a reality. I know that if you’re reading this you are a great appreciator of adventure and, hopefully, the river, so I would like to give you the opportunity to own a piece of the adventure, our real-life adventure down the Mississippi River. What I would like to give you is a copy of our DVD,
I’m getting to that! Not only are we going to give you the DVD, sold for $18 on our website, and the vial, we’re also going to enter you in a drawing for a FREE Sea Eagle Explorer 380x Kayak – the exact model we used on our adventure down the Mississippi! This brand-new, never-before-used, straight-from-the-factory Sea Eagle Inflatable Kayak, complete with 2 high-performance paddles, bow and stern storage bags, as well as dual Tall Back Seats can be yours just for registering. A $1,467 package – yours to win!
