Welcome!

Hey! I'm Jonathan. I'm so glad you're checking out this fan-made re-imagining of the MCU films as a premium television/streaming series. This was truly a labor of love for all Marvel fans to enjoy!

Here's a little of my story:

On April 26, 2019, I sat in a theater with thousands of other hardcore Marvel fans at the premiere of Avengers: Endgame. When the credits rolled, we all cheered as each name took the screen. We already knew by that point that this was the penultimate film in Phase 3; we still had one more to go. But it truly felt like a series finale, in a 22-episode season of film-length episodes.

Since the MCU began in 2008, the world of the films has been filled out by a myriad of television series and comics. However, the films themselves have lent themselves to episodic storytelling. So I asked myself -- since Marvel stories are episodic at their foundation, might the storytelling of the MCU films be better supported in an hour-long, premium television episode format? Or would the format have any impact at all? And thus, this project was born.

I decided to approach this project as a showrunner. If this was the first time someone was exposed to the MCU, and it was in a serialized format, what would be the most effective way to tell this story? I knew I wanted to intercut the movies, but it needed to be more than that. I wanted to be careful not to use the tool of intercutting, just like every other storytelling tool in my arsenal, unless it had intention behind it. I outlined the movies and began plotting out the story beats as episodes, planning carefully for both pacing and maximum impact. While I'm still going back and shifting some things around in order to make this series the best it can be, I'm very happy with the result overall.

It has been both a blast and a privilege to dive deep into the stories behind these films and live with these characters for the past 11 years, but especially over the past year as a first time fan editor. Enjoy!
